Vasi – Athens

Vasi sits in a residential pocket of central Athens, a few streets back from the noise. I built it for people who want a neighborhood, not a lobby — families, mostly, or anyone who'd rather feel like they live somewhere for a few nights than pass through it. Twenty-some rooms, no more. What I like about Vasi is that it doesn't try to impress you on arrival; it earns it over a stay.

Apollo Palm Hotel – Athens

Apollo Palm is the loudest thing we've built in Athens, deliberately. The design leans hard into Bauhaus — clean geometry, bold color blocking, nothing apologetic about it — and the rooftop looks straight at the Parthenon. I wanted a property that photographed like a statement and still worked as a hotel. That tension is the point.

Lekka Hotel & Spa – Athens

Lekka is the one property in our Athens set I'd call restorative rather than social. Spa treatments run through the ground floor, and breakfast happens on a rooftop with the Acropolis in full view — I designed that sequence, spa first, view second, on purpose. It's a smaller, quieter proposition than Vasi or Apollo Palm, and I think Athens needed one.

Bohopo – Shaping the Future of Boutique Hospitality in Europe

At Bohopo, we buy buildings other people have written off. Underutilized city-center properties — an old office block, a tired residential building, something with good bones and a bad use — and we retrofit them into boutique hotels of twenty to fifty rooms. I chair the firm and set the direction on where we deploy capital and what we build, and the thesis is simple: city centers in Europe are full of small, structurally sound buildings that are worth more as hospitality than as whatever they currently are. We’re not building new; we’re not building big.

We now have ten assets across four countries — Greece, Belgium, Italy, Portugal — five of them open and running in Athens, Brussels, Milan, and Porto, four more in development, one under acquisition. That’s 314 rooms operating today. Over the next two to four years I expect us to be running something closer to 650 to 700. The model scales because the underlying opportunity — underused city-center real estate — hasn’t run out.
